Maryam Jahedi 

Ms. Jahedi founded Maryam Jahedi Law Firm in 2012. She is an alumna of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College where she obtained extensive training on trial advocacy as to serious crimes. She earned her Juris Doctorate from University of Sydney, Sydney Law School with concentration in criminal law and international law. Previously to that, she obtained her B.A. from University of British Columbia, majoring in Economics. Ms. Jahedi is fluent in Farsi and has extensive international experience by having lived in four different countries. Her international exposure and knowledge of variety of cultures allow her to build solid relations and communication with her clients. In addition, these experiences will ensure this attorney at law will provide you sound, logical legal advice. 

Ms. Jahedi has obtained advocacy skills in the public sector through her experience at the Legal Aid Society. At the Prisoners' Rights Project of the Legal Aid Society in Manhattan, she advocated on behalf of individual prisoners in New York City jails and New York State Prisons.

While in law school through her law student clinical position at the Intellectual Disability Rights Service she obtained negotiations and advocacy skills advocating on behalf of individuals with intellectual disability and charged with a crime. She has also obtained litigation and trial experience while in law school by working at a firm specializing in commercial litigation. This has augmented Ms. Jahedi's legal advice expertise, making her a trusted attorney at across the New York City area.

She serves as a New York Delegate to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division House of Assembly. She is a member of American Bar Association, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers’ Association, New York City Bar Association, Metropolitan Black Bar Association, and Iranian American Bar Association.
